Dr Mandar Datar

Dr Mandar Datar is a scientist with the Agharkar Research Institute in Pune. Botany is his main area of research and he has published 51 research papers in national and international journals so far. He has presented his research papers in several conferences. He often participates in nature and environment related shows on Akashwani. This apart, he also writes regularly in reputed newspapers and magazines. Many of his articles on plants and science have been published. He has participated as subject expert in several Know The Nature Camps across the country. He has authored books on various facets of plant world. He was coordinator of a course on ‘Know The Plants Around You’ by the Nisarga Sevak and Maharashtra Vidnyan Vardhini. Dr Datar will be unfolding the colourful world of plants through interesting stories for children in NisargaRanga.
